Gateway First Bank executive to lead national committee
Natalia Coen of Gateway First Bank in Jenks has been named the incoming Certified Regulator Compliance Manager (CRCM) Advisory Board Chairwoman for the American Bankers Association.Her term is scheduled to begin Jan. 1.
Coen is the chief compliance officer for Gateway First Bank and has served on the CRCM Advisory Board since 2014. While on the advisory board, she has provided leadership to the CRCM Working Group members over the past year as they worked to create a new exam outline.
OC professor celebrates 25 years with marketing association
Oklahoma Christian University professor Burt Smith on Oct. 10 celebrated 25 years of perfect attendance of the Oklahoma City chapter of the American Marketing Association, attending every meeting since 1994.
“Many times I’ve arrived at meetings late and had to leave early, but I’ve always found a way to make an appearance,” said Smith, a professor of marketing and management at Oklahoma Christian University, business consultant and professional speaker. “I am grateful for the impact AMA has had on my career and how in my teaching AMA has provided me and my students with access to the sharpest minds in the state.”
Smith co-founded OC’s student chapter of the American Marketing Association and serves as a sponsor.
Marketing symposium scheduled
The M3: Marketing Minds Meet symposium is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Devon Boathouse.
The format includes six speakers in the morning, followed by a lunch panel discussion and a special event emergency preparedness and crisis communication symposium in the afternoon. Attendees can attend the morning only, the afternoon only or the entire event.
