Top business schools are scrambling to help MBA students through the pandemic. Here’s our constantly updated list of program changes, deferred enrollments, and which schools are offering online classes.

Schools around the world have closed their campuses amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, switching students to online courses and relaxing application requirements as current and prospective learners alike adapt to the age of social distancing.

Half of universities worldwide are running virtual classes in the wake of the outbreak, according to a survey conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and about a fifth were pushing back fall start dates. Around 17% had changed application deadlines, accommodating for people looking to apply whose plans were derailed by the virus’ impact.

And for MBA seekers, part of this delay was necessitated by the cancellation of in-person GMAT and GRE tests — which, as of April 20, will be available online.

Here are what the top 20 business schools in the world as ranked by QS are doing to update their admissions, teaching, and enrollment standards during the COVID-19 pandemic:

Duke (Fuqua)

Tuition:Over $120K

COVID-19 updates:

  • There is an additional Round 4 application due May 19, 2020.
  • Interviews will be conducted virtually.
  • The school will accept either online GMAT or GRE test scores.
  • The start date for the daytime MBA has been pushed to September 3, 2o2o, with orientation starting August 31.
  • Fuqua is prepared to start virtually.

COVID-19 update:

  • Interviews will be conducted virtually.
  • The application process, as usual, is entirely online and deadlines are unchanged
  • If you meet their  standard academic requirements, you don’t need to include a GMAT or GRE score in your application, but you must take and submit it at a later date. 
  • Online GMAT and GRE scores will be accepted.
  • Round 5 applications are due May 1, 2020; round 6 applications are due June 19, 2020.
  • All current programs are remote; programs are set to start as scheduled in the fall.

COVID-19 updates:

  • Applications will all be rolling admission, and the school will accept applications within a reasonable time frame (i.e., a few days) after deadlines.
  • The program will accept applications received after the final deadline — May 19 for all students and June 2 for EU residents — and offer remaining spots.
  • The application, as usual, is all online, and you do not have to submit a standardized test score, so long as you list the date you expect to take the test.
  • Courses are currently online; scheduled on-campus events with more than 150 participants were cancelled.
